Endless scrolls : we need AI Co-pilot who guides like Kohinoor Store who does it so well in offline world !

The other day, a friend was browsing apparel aggregator website for a pair of formal shoes under ₹3,000. Forty-five minutes in , he was still scrolling .. leather , faux leather , tan , monk strap , with-buckle .. all starting to blur into a chaotic mess of thumbnails and discounts. His remark summed it up:

“I feel less clear now than when I began.”

It reminded me of walking into a Kohinoor store last month. I asked about a washing machine. The salesperson smiled, asked three questions .. family size , usage frequency and space .. and then confidently walked me to two models. Decision made in under ten minutes.

No overwhelm. No regrets.

Why is it that offline feels guided, and online feels scattered?

Shopping websites , like many platforms, gives you filters. But filters aren’t guidance. A filter helps you shrink options while a guide helps you make sense of them.

What we really need in online journeys is an AI Co-pilot .. a companion that does what the Vijay Sales associate does:

– Understands your purpose
– Respects your constraints
– Surfaces clarity from chaos

: An AI co-pilot doesn’t just show you 347 results under ₹3,000 .. it quietly asks, “Are you buying this for officewear or wedding season?”

: It remembers that you recently bought a black belt, and says, “These tan shoes will complement that.”

: It nudges you when two products are nearly identical but priced ₹800 apart .. not to upsell, but to help you decide smarter.

We’re entering a world where infinite options will be a constant. What will separate brands is not their catalogue size , but how they curate the journey.
Just as offline retail cracked this with human sensemaking , online needs to do it with intelligent co-pilots.

Because in the end, we don’t want more scrolls
.. We want less confusion, more confidence.
